But, but, but, but...they don't have talent and they aren't at all concerned about getting better. They never draft BPA with their perennial top ten draft pick, and they have no idea who is good in free agency.

We can't just say "yeah, we'll beat them" because we didn't beat them with our best team in the last 8 years (2005), but you already know that they aren't going to be improved over last year.

I don't know if you have looked at their roster? They do have talent, probably one of the best LB trio in the league, awesome RB's (I think Michael Bush could be better than McFadden). I think they could surprise this year. Please stop laughing!!

They don't even have a system to make use of McFadden's versatility though. They drafted him so Lane Kiffin could use him creatively then promptly fired Kiffin for not winning immediately.

The Raiders totally piss away draft picks like no other team in history. They overvalue players for gimmicky reasons, then give up on them really early in their careers.

I don't see how a team that spins its wheels in place professionally could surprise anyone. Every year, there are tons of opportunities to improve, and every year, they throw millions of dollars at simply bad players.

I'm not disagreeing with you that the Raiders have some good young talent. You've just taken a sentimental truth about every team in the NFL (i.e. has young, promising talent) and picked the one team that is most likely to blame it's young talent for it's continued failures as a potential breakout candidate.

The Raiders model for success is to accidentally win, then find out what went right.

They did beat a TB team that was desperate for a playoff spot in Tampa. I'm just saying...
