I favor Loadholt because he's a big guy that's physical and dominant in the run game. According to scouting reports his biggest liabilities are a lack of quickness to match up with speed rushers, and apparently he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. We'd be starting him at RT though, so speed rushers wouldn't be as much of an issue, and if we have the rest of the o-line knock some sense into him perhaps he won't be as much of a poor off-the-field decision maker as the scouts think...

Beatty seems good because he's athletic enough to really shine in pass protection, which is the main reason we need to upgrade RT. That being said, I'd really prefer a big fatty to pave the way for portis. How good could our running game be if we could power run left AND right.

And plus just to throw his name out there again, I just watched some scouting video and reports on Alex Mack and I must say, he seems like a really cool guy. Almost like a Chris Cooley personality. He's smart and dominant at the line, I really hope we find a way to take him; he's an immediate starter IMO. If we can release Rabach that'll save us a nice meaty chunk of cap room.
Enlighten those who still live in the darkness my friend!
