Re: Washington Redskins 2009 Schedule

For the very first time since 2004, I can honestly say we don't appear to have a more difficult than average schedule. The NFC East isn't the behemoth it was last season, and while it's still strong, the AFC West is pathetic, not to mention our last place schedule provides us a two creampuff advantage that none of the other teams in the division have.

Last year 3-3 in the division was only good enough for last place. This year, it might be good enough to win it. The Redskins literally don't have to be much better at all to win the NFC East. They just have to find a way to not go backward in the next five months.

I'm looking forward to the Monday Nighter against Philly in Week 7. That game could be the measuring stick of the entire Zorn tenure.

Re: Washington Redskins 2009 Schedule

The one thing I feel like nitpicking as a disadvantage is that we don't get to play the Cowboys until November. I really, really like our chances against them given our current rosters on paper. But after 10 games worth of injury, who knows? Could totally change our odds in that one.

The last time we played the Bucs in FedEx was Gibbs' first game back. It will be fun to play them in our house again.

Re: Washington Redskins 2009 Schedule

Figures they put the game I've been licking my chops over as the last game of the year. Still overall I would say it looks pretty good to me. I love having the bye in week 8.

Later bye is great

I'll be at the Charlotte game and wouldn't mind hitting Atlanta either; I think I'd rather make my way up to FedEx than that though

Re: Washington Redskins 2009 Schedule

I like the fact we have few chances at prime time games... we don't do well. Bye week in week 8 is great! I like that we get the G-men first again... till we beat them they are the champs..of the East. Looking forward to Atlanta as I will be attending!!!

I will be flying down to Atlanta for the November 8th game!!! It is the reverse game for my brother and I. We made the trek to FedEx a few years ago. Looking forward it!!!

Can't complain too much about the schedule. I like the 3 prime time games.

ESPN's lovechild, the Dallas Cowboys, get 6 nationally televised games this year. Ick. Hopefully it translates into 6 opportunities for Puppet Wade to collapse.

I think a Cowpuke collapse is on the horizon...should be entertaining.
