But really, driving through downtown DC flying a Cowboys flag?? I'm sure that guy has gotten plenty of sh*t before. Maybe that's why he had such a short fuse about the whole thing.

Living in Gainesville, Fl, with as many drunken students as there were running around, you should see some of the things done to cars flying Tennessee, Florida State, Miami, and LSU flags. They vary from gross, to hilarious, to violent... Either way, don't fly anything other than a Gator flag unless you're looking for trouble. Not saying it's right, just saying you're asking for it if you fly your flag in your arch rival's hometown.
I lived in a place that was considered "cowboy country", and everyone knew I was a skins fan. One day I had my front Skins license plate turned around on me as a joke, but no one stood up and took blame for it. I found that to be odd...but I still didn't want to cold clock the guy..and I am VERY protective of my truck!

Re: Man Beaten Over Cowboys Car Flag

I use to see similar stuff like this at Highschool games around here. A couple of idiots would come across the field to sit in our bleachers and root for their team. It's completely assinine. Even though I felt like it I would never go up and just punch them upside the head. That's immature and really losing perspective on things if you ask me, but, I would verbally abuse them every chance I could, (good play on our part, bad play on their part) and I mean LOUDLY. They would usually leave with their tail between their legs before it was over. What really baffles me though is what kind of moron would put himself in that position? I wouldn't expect to be treated kindly if I were to ride through downtown Dallas with a Redskin flag waving from my car. If you're gonna act like an ass, expect to be treated like one.

The fans take the Cowboys and Redskins rivalry more serious than the players do, who make millions of dollars to play football. Lets ask ourselves is it worth going to prison for theft or assualt. Its a game we love to watch lets, let the teams settle it on the field.

Re: Man Beaten Over Cowboys Car Flag

Well if there is wrong doing here, it is shared by both parties. Taking someone's personal property, whether it is a 10 dollar flag or 10,000 dollar car is theft, plain and simple.

But retaliation of striking someone over a 10 dollar flag, that is equally disheartening.

You know I expect something like this to happen in Philly, and not in the DC area.

Ok, maybe, just maybe you see something like this at a tailgate prior to a game. But certainly not in public during the off season.

It is not that someone grabbed a flag and got his clocked cleaned.

It's the fact that someone at the Washington Post felt it was news worthy and put a headline on it.

On any other day it is a non-story.
it's called the local news. cowgirls fan. they are supposed to cover crime.

I agree with you but at the same time the general DC area is among the most crime ridden cities in the world. Hell these are people that elected a guy caught smoking crack with a hooker.

It's a bad ass...limited edition aluminum block has about 360 horsepower! It's quite a BEAST off road! Nothing it can't handle.
