The guy was 10-17 in his career with no playoff appearances, not to mention in his best statistical season, the team collapsed at the end to finish 8-8. All I hear from the supporters is, "Oh, but his leading receiver is Curtis Conway." So what. "Oh but he doesn't have an offensive line" Yeah, well, LT has no problem getting 1,000 yards behind that line. So whose the problem here? Isn't it the Quarterback.

Once the Chargers get a guy with a lot of Southern-grit in there to handle MartyBall, they'll be winners. You just watch.
ur kidding right?.....fyi brees has been playing for the saints since 2006...so i guess he would need to play Turnerball. this guy is lights out anybody that doesn't recognize him as an elite quarterback has way too high of expectations. im sure alot of teams are kickin' themselves for not trying harder to get this guy when he was available.

I am a little surprised that an Olympic Archer cannot deliver the goods more often than that?
Well the target doesn't drop the arrows unlike our WRs who drop the ball.

Re: Drew Brees Puts Robin Hood to Shame

What I don't get is the Archer not hitting that thing 10 times in a row. I did not have the sound up but if I counted it right he was around 20 yards from the target. My buddy and his friends could tear that up with a bow from that distance and their circles are much smaller. May be its because the archer used was not a red neck and drinking 12 beers when trying to hit the target.

When the talk about the Archer's accuracy, the fail to mention that the olympic target is 70 Meters away. I imagine that the accuracy of olympic archers would increase astronomically at 20 yards. Also, I would guess that Brees would be lucky to hit the target 10 times at 70 yards.

Regardless it's still pretty impressive what Brees did.

Yes. I wasn't pointing it out to denigrate Brees. Hitting a 5 inch target 60 feet away with a football 10 times in a row is pretty f'ing amazing. It was just that they kept comparing him to the accuracy of olympic archers which was somewhat deceptive.

Sweet.........
and I did not want to say at the time(because we have to many F..n experts in these parts), but I used to shoot in an archery league and....everybody in the league could shoot the hell out of that target at that distance. However, 70 yards.........does make a difference
