I believe that the problem is that the owner is the Redskins' #1 fan and he pushes his FO to do the same short-sighted things that many of us would do.

I think you're partly right. He owns the team but he really shouldn't be involved with football decisions. Money decisions absolutly but anything involving evaluation of talent is out. I USED to think the assertions that he was involved in those kinds of decisions were stupid. Now when I hear Dan Synder is enamored with Mark Sanchez it makes me wonder why Snyder is involved in a way that allows him to be "enamored" and affect our drafting.
