yeah my experience in visiting correction facilities (visitor/observer not inmate) is that they separate child offender, sex offenders from general pop so you dont have inmates being the judge, jury and executioner.

while murder in the heat of passion/emotion is 2nd degree (sounds like what happened here - no premeditation from the basic facts known to us), 1st degree applies b/c a killing happened during the comminsion of a felony (kidnapping), hence felony murder.

sad this happens all to often. women throwing babies off rooftops, drowning their kids in bathtubs, now this crap. young moms and dads not ready to be parents shake their kids to death b/c the baby wont stop crying . . . you need a license to drive, own a gun but anyone is free to go out and have kids or 14 kids . . . makes the people who work hard, pay their taxes, dont drive reckless, didnt buy a house when they knew they couldnt afford it only to have the gov bail them out, putting a ton of money in a soc security that they will never see want to move to canada or sweden.
