Re: Fathers Day Gifts

Just a thought - For the father's out there, the moment you are most proud of, enjoy the most, or otherwise caused you to say "Damn, it's great to be a dad!"

For me, it's just watching my son grow into a good young man. He's only six and, yes, he's whiny and petulant at times. But mostly, he is a good kid filled with kindness. His school reports said he is always helping others in his class. He practices random acts of kindness, often giving cherished toys to others b/c "they should be happy too". (Boy is smart too, in kindergarten reading on a 4th grade level, math at a 3rd grade level)

I am damn proud of him and it makes me feel good to say "Yup, that's my boy!!"

That is pretty low trying to down grade JoeRedskin's son's accomplishments. Dude is proud of his son. So what if your kid or neighbor's kid had the same thing written, be proud of them as well, this world needs a lot of good heart people.

What you expect the teachers to write, that your kid could flew over the moon or something.

Yeah I thought it was pretty low too, uncalled for. Glad I wasn't the only who thought that.

Not so fast. This could be another case of his hands not typing what his brain is thinking

Seriously. Teachers don't make things up and write them on report cards make parents feel all warm and fuzzy. Cynical and uncalled for.

I wonder if he thinks what was written on HIS kid's report card was BS. If so, that's funny and sad at the same time.

Mocking this kind of thing on a Father's Day thread is low.

Got to agree with this.

Don't want to get all "sarah palin" and get offended over nothing, but that was a pretty stupid and unneccessary response.

And for the record JR, my report cards never said anything about playing well with or being nice to others. Pretty much the opposite... Good job.
