He will indeed get more picks this year as he gets to know the defense better.
He will also probably give up more long gains/TDs because he will gamble on coverages trying to make picks that he misses. Those two things tend to go hand in hand except for the truly Hall of Fame quality CBs. Be prepared to see both happen this year...
