Re: Second-Year Receiver Report Card

Got a tweet during the game that Kelly went up for a high pass and came down with it, was it really a nice catch? What was DT's catch like?

Kelly reached high and snatched the ball out of the air. It was good to see. Kind of a small glimpse of what his size can do for us.

Yeah 53 I hope we see more of that. If Kelly stays healthy I feel like he'll start opposite Moss come opening day.

It was a very nice catch...but doesn't make up for running a 5 yard pattern on 3rd and 6...

I think Kelly and Thomas will be big contributors to the offense this year, as will Fred Davis (fumbles aside).

Yeah, Kelly acknowledged he didn't get enough depth on the pattern but the more he plays the better he'll get. I agree. I think all 3 will contribute this year.

All he did was reach up and pull down a ball like anyone who has played WR should do. None of them did anything to stand out last night but that true for the most of the team. I think this thread might have been better after a few more games.

It was a little more than that. He didn't hesitate or protect his body. He fully extended while going across the middle. He snagged the ball with 2 hands out of mid air, something Hagans failed to do i might add. He had a guy covering him, and Jason led him so that the defender couldn't get it. It was an excellent catch and really the first real glimpse of what his potential could be. In my opinion

Hagans didn't get the same thing done. The ball to him was high but he still should have caught it. Hagans dropped what would have been a big gainer.
