If we're offered something similar to that I'd jump all over it. Two first rounders and a second?! Wow, where can I sign up?

yeah 4 picks, including 2 1st and 1 2nd, for one pick would be awesome and I like the idea of then trading those picks to detroit to pick up winslow. maybe we could then use the 2nd gained along with trotter to move into the late first round and pick up J. Grove or the best d-lineman available. this definitely seems like a scenario Gibbs might accept as I would think he'd be more interested in filling multiple holes rather than only one.

Take it, no question. Then take one of the firsts and offer to add in Gardener or Trotter to get back to the #6 pick. How about that?

I'd say no thanks!
Taylor or Winslow are just too good to pass up. Sure, we get two low first round picks (the 2nd is practically a 2nd rounder) and a second rounder where we will find mediocre talent. I'd rather fill a hole for 10 years with an impact player! |

Take the trade if it's there. It's not like we have spare picks cluttering up the war room. Besides, we can always sign Taylor when he becomes a free agent if 4 or 5 years time!!

I don't understand. Why would the trade mention Detroit and not us?
Are they so certain that we'll pass on Sean Taylor? Hasn't Joe Gibbs already said publicly that we would trade the #5 if the deal was sweet enough? Am I missing something here? Wouldn't New England want to deal with the team that has the better chance to land Taylor? For the record, I would take the trade. Taylor is supposed to be good, but hell, who knows? The "experts" were pretty high on Mike Rumph too! |

First off thier is no guarentee that detroit would swap with us, as well we would be getting to late #1's unless we are looking at D-linemen we won't be able to get a high impact player, there is a reason that 1 of the very elite defensive coaches want's taylor and is willing to give up so much, especially when they need a RB and line help, they know taylor is the real deal, I am not giving that up unless the deal will net me winslow, a big D-tackle, and another player.

IF... I repeat .. IF that deal offer is true... and we get it instead of Detroit... for some reason I just don't see it... BUT
If so... I'd KEEP the 21st and 32nd picks and use the 21st on either Randy Starks, Will Smith, Vince Wilfork or Ben Troupe (whichever is still there)... and the 32nd on Jake Grove (or Troupe) Grove is the best Center to come out in a WHILE and he would REALLY be the Jeff Bostic to this new group of HOGS. (I heard a rumor that Bugel really liked what he saw when scouting him.) It would allow us to let Larry Moore go... freeing up cap-space. Starks, in my opinion, could be the steal of this draft. He is a STUD. Wilfork can plug an interior line all by himself a-la Gilbert Borwn and Ted Washington, only he is MUCH MUCH MUCH quicker than both. Will Smith has 10-15 sack potential and Troupe could be the Ben Coates, Keith Jackson. Jay Novacek compared to Winlsow being more Shockey... which makes me JUST as happy at the least. Then in the second, we could take Boulware the LB and we are SET! Of course... I just don't see the Pats giving all that up for one guy, seeing as how the team is set up to have no "superstars" .. just guys playing together, BUT .... I hope it works out....
