The Pats have released a statement on their web site saying the Lions contacted them but no deal has been struck. Does that mean other teams have inquired? Possibly the Redskins have entered the mix.

Interesting, sound's like detroit's #6 pick can be had, I say we stick with taylor then do what we have to do to get detroit's pick and grab winslow.

Let's say we get a 2nd for Gardner. Is Trotter, the 2nd and maybe next year's 1st too much for the Lions' 1st this year and maybe another mid-to late round pick?

I am starting to get off the winslow band wagon as I talk about in a new thread, but if detroit would give up the #6 pick for trotter, gardner, and our #1 next year I would make that trade in a heartbeat, the problem is I think we would have to sweetin the pot a bit, probably 1 more pick might do it, and I say it would still be worth it, I just don't know if winslow will really fit in, charactor is the biggest factor when gibb's look's at a player, and that's the biggest problem when you look at winslow, Gibb's just doesn't want player's who stay out of serious trouble, he want's guy's who are real quality people, player's with big heart's on and off the field, the more I think about it the more I pull back from the thought of taking winslow. but I still say taylor is the man!
