Re: Blache goes off on reporter
I know someone on this board who might have an opinion on this...
But anyhow, maybe next time I see Matich hanging around my office I'll ask him about it Have you seen Matich's latest blog post? "Greg Blache is a classy guy...not" But seriously...this kind of reminded me of the time Brunell got pissed at Czaban when Czabe asked him if he would offer to basically bench himself for the good of the team. But anyway, Blache basically put it out there when he said several years ago that "sacks were overrated" and our pass rush has been suspect so, like it or not, he's going to get questions about our pass rush and how he plans on addressing it. And he's not the reporter asking the questions, so he doesn't have to "throw questions" back at Matich

Not that big of a deal. Probably will not happen again. We've all seen worse.

Re: Blache goes off on reporter
I think Blache should remember that he's not speaking to some pencil-neck reporter.

Re: Blache goes off on reporter
Weird interaction. I think it was a legitimate question, and one that should be expected. His reaction was a little overboard, but he's a football coach...
No big deal. Just kind of out of the blue and weird. Trevor's a nice guy. Maybe there is something between them I don't know about.

Re: Blache goes off on reporter
Wow really this was blown out of proportion, while he did seem a little irritated. Todays pc era really doesnt allow much honest questions so you cant really fault the reporter. Seems like their is always an alterior motive as in a tv station that supports and reports on the team. So was nice to see some answers that were on his mind.

Re: Blache goes off on reporter
I agree about Matich. He's very fair and not confrontational at all. I hope he asks about d-line pressure after the Jags game. Something like, "Coach, the d-line got a lot of pressure on the QB tonight, did that help the DB's get those INT's and....could you walk the audience through what it's like to be an old grouch"? Blache might actually get a kick out of that.....or not.
