All good questions. Was surprised about Bridges being cut as well as both Alridge and Dorsey. Clinton has to be ready because it would apear Zorn intends to work him to death again this year. |

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
Keeping Mason over Alridge or Dorsey is just stupid. Mason is purely a 3rd string RB whereas one of the other two may actually have contributed something we don't have. Who cares if mason gained yards in preseason...they don't need him.

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
my biggest concern remains o line. how many years does it have to be an issue before it is addressed?

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
does anyone have any valid reasoning as to why betts and rock are still on the team. yeah betts had a good 6 games a few years ago and rock can return kicks to the 25, but what will they bring to the table THIS YEAR?

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
betts needs to be gone. I can see rock a bit cause he is a special teams leader but some of those young wr's did a good job returning kicks in preseason

No. He's no world beater but he is better than last year and better than the Balt game this year.

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
Lots of back-up Qbs out there right now. Joey Harrington, first round pick, among them. The move to cut Chase and IR Colt makes sense now.

Re: Redskins final cutdown thread
Rock returns kicks to the 30+ and he tackles very well on punt/ kick coverage. My guess is he will do all that again this year. Betts is a good back up to Portis. My guess is he will continue to do that this year too. Ohh and Betts should be getting more carries this year as our 3rd down back.

Marcus Mason runs like he knows the playbook very well. He should, since he's been on the PS. I am really happy for him.
