i didn't even know about this speech, till i saw it on the warpath. i think it's good for presidents to speak to the children, as long as they say the right things.

I hate that, basically brainwashiing by parents. Let the child go and get exposed to a unique event which will never probably happen again to that kid.

I would let my kid go and hear Pat Robertson if he telling my kids to work hard, be good kids and study.

I think most would agree with that the problem came when they wanted the kids to write an essay to themself on what they could do to help Obama (which in my opinion is making it political) when they could have said write an essay on how to help the US. I also as a Rep. don't have a problem with him talking to the children but I do feel it should not include anything that could be seen as political. That could also be looked at as trying to brainwash kids. I have heard that parents are also keeping their kids home from school so they can see the speech which makes no sense as they can see it when they get home and Obama wants them in school.
