Re: The Forgotten 2nd Rounder...Fred Davis

I think for the first time in a long time we have so many weapons to talk about it's easy for one to slide under the radar. Mitchell has gotten a lot of attention so far and deservedly so. For a rookie to come in and play like he has, well.. he grabs a lot of media attention. Kelly stepping up after an injury plaqued year has been fantastic as well and makes a great story. There have been a lot of good stories coming out of the Redskins preseason with Orakpo, AH, Jarmon, Kelly, Mitchell, JC, the o-line etc. You don't hear as much about Cooley, ARE, or Portis but these guys are supposedly doing very well and of course, a lot is expected of them. Kelly's progress has even made DT look like he's not doing very well even though I think he's made progress from last year and expect much more contribution from him this year. With so many "new" stories to talk about, maybe Davis just isn't getting as much attention as he would have if there wasn't so many other good stories to talk about. At least that's my hope.
