Re: Potential Epic Fail
i mean this is a team that is winless in its last 18 games with a rookie QB. Out defense will eat them up, double megatron. Skins will win. If we don't, I think the Zorn will have a tough time recovering. Even at 5-1, we saw that show last year, and the ending sucked.

Its too expensive to pay to be letdown every week. One can always hope that next year it'll change, but as far as i can tell, this head coaching thing just isnt cut out for zorn, he needs to go back to giving qbs tips and stay completely away from any decision making or clock management. Until he gets canned, it pains me to say this, but get ready for a big season stocked full of mediocrity from talented players. |

With Vinny here I just can't believe that Snyder doesn't have his hand on the roster.

I have stated before, and continue to believe, that within the next couple of years Cerrato's responsibilities will shift to more the business side of the team than the football operations. And I think that's the right call. I think he's done a good, not great job. My concern is that I don't know what the better alternative is. I think any of the four most mentioned candidates are going to want full control. But Holmgren already showed once he couldn't handle both jobs and was relieved of the responsibility, Shanahan should have been, Gruden and Allen clashed a lot in Tampa. Cowher is really the only one who hasn't been tested yet in that dual role. I'm sure a lot of fans though would simply rest easier if Cerrato isn't there. Not based on any actual reason, just because they don't want him around.

Re: Potential Epic Fail
I watched the game again and realized that AH was getting the double team so that Griffin could draw single teams. I guess i was just looking at no sacks, but you are right he had a good game.

I don't see why people can come on here every week and act like things are just fine and will turn around every week when that clearly isn't happening.. and hasn't since many of us can remember.. we hear "it's only one game" or "well if this hadn't have happened" .. etc ... single games can matter, things DO happen we plain don't look good and anyone who can be confident about this team lives in a land of gummy bears (minus whatever colors that they don't like), the brady bunch, and random naked supermodels |

![]() Seems like everyone else can get instant replay worthy plays, jump balls (for a short guy moss isn't bad at these), really clutch passes, etc.. where the QB will put the ball into the right spot for the WR to make a play downfield... the ones that go right over the defender and fall to the WR.. I haven't seen much from Campbell suggesting that he can drop that ball in there like that.. he needs the guy 5 yards open like college if the WR isn't on the inside |

But, let me ask you, did you see the London Fletcher hit on Jacobs? Did that get played on Sportscenter. Nope. What about AH pushing 2 players back every play. Nope. Or Rodgers batting away passes to prevent big plays. Nope. did I get excited by those. Heck yeah. I want to see consistent steady improvement and solid football games. And I see that. I know the kool aid is great blah blah blah. Last year, all year we could not consistently move the football. This year we have had 10 out of 15 drives against the NYG and Rams that started in our territory and went 30+ yds, 5 of those 15 ended in points, 2 ended in punts, 2 ended in turnovers and 1 ended on downs in scoring position. So yes we are moving the ball better, more consistently. We are sustaining drives. I believe the points will come. And I believe we have seen better football on both lines, (which is what everyone griped about over the offseason) and even when a backup stepped in(montgomery) our team kept moving. I want a winning spirit. And mistake free football. And more points. I don't really care about the highlight reels (unless it's Campbell lifting a Lombardi with Zorn) Last edited by CRedskinsRule; 09-22-2009 at 07:56 PM. Reason: paragraphs help |
