He may not seem like a bad owner to those who don't have a lot to compare him too, but being a supporter of this team long before Snyder was born, he fails miserably in comparison to his predecessor. Even the late George Marshall who was the owner when we purchased our first season tickets, with all his faults would turn over in his grave if he could what has been done to his beloved Redskins. People who truly love the Redskins and have been faithful followers for many years are not going to let Snyder off the hook as easily as a few lines from the keypad, they're going to stay on his case until he demonstrates he's willing/or has learned how to run a professional sports franchise. The onus is on him, if he never learns it won't be because he hasn't had time to do so, or supporters willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Didn't Marshall fire a coach at halftime?

I'm not sure Marshall, Cooke, or Williams would act all that differently from Snyder if any one of them were the owner today.

I did happen to know Mr. Marshall personally and it does make a difference when you know someone as opposed to what you hear or read.

That's pretty cool. So I have a couple of questions then. Is it actually true that he fired a coach at halftime, and did/do you know all the other owners personally as well?

True he did fire a coach once at mid game, and he failed to employ African American players until Bobby Mitchell, none of which has muct to do with the ineptness of our current administration.

Some of you guys don't remember Jack Kent Cooke. Class owner in the vein of the Marra's and Rooney's. The Redskins problems start at the top and it is getting very difficult trying to get behind a guy every year who seems to just flounder. The hiring of Zorn as OC, (before hiring a head coach) then making him head coach was just so backwards that I could hardly believe it. I don't question whether he wants to win. It is how he is going about it. The franchise will not have extended success until he either lets go of the meddling or sells the team. I don't see either coming anytime soon so I thank god that hockey starts this week.

I totally agree with you but I think DS saw what JJ did in Dallas with their current HC and thought hey I can do the same thing. I think we all know our current problems stem from the teams coaching staff being jammed together from two seperate coaching tree's. I'm sure they are doing their best to get a long and make this work out to keep their jobs but I wonder how much even a little this is playing a part in our current problems.

Snyder needs to commit himself to not making any football decisions and hire a true GM. His way of teambuilding has been pathetic. It has come to the point of losing to a horrible Lions team, hitting a bottom I havent felt. Ill support the players without a doubt, but I will not support the FO and their constant poor decisions. People need to wake up.

Is this a joke? Snyder is a terrible owner. He doesn't seem like a good person to me, but what I care about his what he does as owner of the Redskins and what he does sucks.

Wow, I never would have guessed these were your feelings from reading your highly unbiased reports at DCPSR. I am amazed at the objectivity that shines through your reports now that I know how you really feel.

Ok, now that was a joke.

Um, you understand that opinion is the central basis of a fan website, right? Let me know when you see something at DC Pro Sports Report about it being an opinion-free zone. The whole point of the website is to state our views, hopefully backing them up with available evidence.

The available evidence I cite for Dan Snyder being a bad owner is the last decade. I think it's a pretty good case.

But what exactly about his statement do you find wrong?

We can debate his running of the franchise (I don't agree that he's a "terrible" owner), but not so sure why he's not a good person?

If I remember my history correctly, didn't some folks up in the Salem area back in 1692 or so do something similar to what's been going here with Snyder this week?
