Re: Can we get some love for the Defense?

It's an improved unit from last year. Possibly much improved, but we'll need to see it against a good quarterback before I can go that far.

You seem to be so negative when it comes to the defense, even though they clearly are at least one level above the offense and campbell. But you seem to excuse campbell's play to something other than what campbell is doing.

I don't make excuses. I make observations.

No one was being negative in this thread before you jumped in. I simply pointed out that they've been very good, but they'll get tested in coming weeks.

The D gets tested every time the O goes three and out, gets handed scoring opportunities and field position and fails to capitalize, when we muff punts or get them blocked when they are constantly defending a short field etc...

So Trip you make your observations through whatever shade your glasses are, while a growing number of people OBSERVE your biases week in and week out.

A team is a team you win and lose together if the defense or offense plays great and the other side stumbles you'll probably lose 9 out of 10. This is not basketball it is rare that one guy can take over a game if everyone on the other side of the ball is doing their job. Bottom line we are not playing well enough but in response to the thread I think the defense could get a little love this week.

The O doesn't stumble, it drops a deuce for the D to clean up.

and from such an analytical mind...I put about as much confidence in that statement as I put in all of your other analysis. Only you didn't come up with that did you. I think one of your boyfriends said it first.
