I know the haters are going to talk about look who we have played BUT the D has played up to par and been able to handle these teams who we were suppose to handle. Great thing is the D is getting better as the season goes on. Props to Blache and guys...3rd in pass D is impressive
I just read a post about our bad corners.

I think Hall and Rogers are a solid duo. They are not physical enough for me, but they have above average coverage skills. I think in the Redskins defense, the player that needs to make plays is the free safety - which would help Hall and Rogers be better in what they do.

I think Landry has all the tools to become a great player, but he just doesn't know enough at this point to be a good free safety; he may be miscast a bit because he would seem to be a good strong safety. Horton may be a better fit at free safety than Landry. Landry needs to focus on positioning and anticipation when the ball is in the quarterback's hands. When you start seeing Landry around the ball more after it's thrown, that's when you will start seeing the secondary playing at a noticeably higher level.

I think this also applies at the SOLB spot. Once you see the SOLB (probably someone other than orakpo) around the ball more when the ball is in the runningback's hands, that's when you will start seeing the running defense playing at a noticeably higher level.
