There is nothing desirable about working for an overbearing asshole boss.

Agree. I would tend to agree with Don Banks of SI more than I would Schefter in this case:

"Other than financially, has anyone been better off after going to work for Daniel Snyder and the Redskins than they were before they got to Washington? Seriously. Has anyone come out looking better for the experience, enhancing their reputation or résumé? Be it a coach, a player, or a front office member? Anyone? Ever?"

I could give a crap who the next head coach is if the front office structure stays like it is currently. It won't matter. Big name, little name, desirable or undesirable, we'll continue to flounder.

The no salary cap thing is way overblown IMO. Do the biggest spending teams in baseball always have the most success? Exactly. I think an uncapped year will be good for us because we can dump all the excess cap crap we've got going on (*cough* Portis *cough*), not because it will open the door for more spending.

Actually, I think an uncapped year would serve to further enable the type of behavior we've seen from Snyder over the past decade. And that IMO makes the uncapped prospect a con, not a pro, for any prospective HC.

sounds like this comes from experience? and all coaches have giant egos. someone is going to want to come here, and be the hero that fixes this mess
