Re: Who for GM

^Not only that Smoot but I'd rather have a proven GM who is good at his job but I imagine unless we throw the bank at them they won't leave their current team. Which means we are taking chances on someone who has no experience. I'd rather have a someone who knows and is proven to be able to build a team with talent. I could stomach Holmgren, but I'd rather have Schottenheimer. Only cause he has been here and knows what to expect and will put DS in his place if he tries to meddle.

Mostly I want a GM and HC who are on page with each other and know what type of players best fits the system they are trying to impliment. I believe part of our problems lie with VC having been more of a WC personel type and having Norv, Schottenhiemer, Spurrier, and Gibbs2 did not bode well together. We are finally running a WC style offense with non WC style players. Most likely given time things could turn around but Zorn has not shown me anything that would lead me to believe he has what it takes.

Perhaps part of it is cause he started out bad with the whole "Red, Black, and Yellow." It pointed out to me he obviously can't do a little homework on the internet. Oh I got excited when we were 6-2, but after it showed he can't conform to the talent he has. He reminds me of Surrier who basically said this is my offense run it. I understand injuries make it difficult but a great coach will learn quickly to tailor their scheme to fit their talent, ie; Gibbs1 when he went 0-5 and changed up his offense and went 8-8, Schottenhiemer who changed up after starting out bad and going 8-8. Zorn would prefer to stay the course with his offense and force a round peg into a squar hole, then say it's all about exicution.
