Davis and Thomas couldn't get on the field because they didn't earn coaches trust that they knew the playbook. Then when they've had chances to make plays, they've rarely come through. The slow progression of our young recievers is more on them than JC in my opinion.

How long has JC been playing for the skins and how long can we keep making excuses for him. Every new year comes new excuses.

I think the comment was more of an attack on our WRs coach than a defense of Campbell.

Newsflash: Not winning because of the quarterback is also an excuse.

Really good teams can win in spite of poor quarterback play. The Redskins weren't winning even back when Campbell was playing well every week.
