With a rise in fatal accidents caused by elderly drivers; does the nation need stricter rules on licenses?

Agreed. It seems that there a few demographics that in general have no friggin clue what they are doing behind the wheel (cough-females-cough). My grandmother is 86 years old, her knees are pretty much shot, and she still drives. Not long distances, but just around town for errands and such. She should NOT be driving. She's mentally sharp as a tack, but her reaction time is like 1/10th of what most normal drivers have. My mom and I have tried to talk her out of it, but she's stubborn. It makes me really nervous.

I think once you're over 70 you should have to pass some sort of mental/physical acuity test to keep your license.
