Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

Is there any way we can get rid of Cerrato and get a real GM?

Never mind SS. 70Chip III will be pissed. The only market in the country to switch away from Wash/NYG is his market. Local yokels. Nobody in Joplin likes the Rams. They're all Chiefs fans there.

Are any of these guys qualified to be a GM, because if we're going to go with continuity we might as well hire one of these guys. Personally I doubt Snyder will be able to bring in a DeCosta or someone on par with Chris Pollian.

Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

Enjoyable thread, and as every day passes I find myself wondering what we are really gonna do here. My best guess is that VC stays, and Shanny runs the show anyways. If he is coming here, no chance someone like VC will interfere. I don't think VC is bad at evaluating talent, accept maybe OT since he never drafts them. Anyways, good to be back!

Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

I need to update the original post with some of the new scouts, such as Bill Baker, at some point. But there will probably be a bunch of changes again this off-season. Very tempted to add Bruce Allen...verrrrry tempted. But I won't...not yet at least

Well I guess it's time to add Allen officially

Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

The long expected changes to the scouting department are starting to take place, so I've removed Russ Bollinger and Don Warren from the original post

Thanks!! SS for putting this together. This is the area of the team that fails to get much attention. Good job.

Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

According to multiple sources we've hired Richard Mann II from the Bucs

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Richard Mann II

I don't know it what capacity though. I imagine it won't be much more significant than what he did in Tampa

Re: Getting to Know the Redskins Front Office

I wish we would pull some scouts from teams other then Denver & Tampa. I love Shanny & Allen but I am not in love with the scouting that has gone on in Tampa & Denver the past several years. I just hope we don't end up with a 100% Bronconeer front office.
