Totally agreed, Matty. They've got to sign a lot of their own players this offseason, but they've got the cap room to do it and then on top of that go get someone to provide an upgrade over Todd Pinkston. Really, as Redskins fans, we can't be counting on or looking forward to an Eagles collapse, because if it's coming it is still a few years off. Instead of hoping the Eagles collapse, we need the 'Skins to make the leap. To me, that means in-house development. I love that Gregg Williams can make so much happen with what seems to be a bunch of scrubs. Keys will be:
1) Patrick Ramsey making the leap from serviceable to playmaker/leader.
2) Developing a nasty as hell attitude regarding physical offensive line play. I want to see more defenders blown off the ball on Clinton Portis run plays.
3) Gregg Williams continues to make a great D out of what he's got on hand currently, so that we can use what little cap room we have on the offense (like a center and a WR).
4) Fostering a work-hard attitude, and return the pride to being part of the organization (to the point where players say I'll take 10% less cash to stay here because I'm a Redskin through and through).

I already love the players' attitude after a 6-10 season. After Spurrier's 5-11 season, players were pissing and moaning. Now, they're saying things like "We were a team with a losing record, but we are not a losing team." Antonio Pierce said that, and he clearly buys into the Gibbs program. I love Pierce.
