				MVP 2005 vs ESPN 2k5

			MVP 2005 $29.95 (3/8 release)

ESPN MLB 2k5 $19.95 (3/1) Which one are any of you buying or both? I'll be playing EPSN, but I may get MVP too at that price. |

I'll check out ESPN, since its cheaper. I like baseball, but I Wouldnt play the game like I would an NFL game, so I'll go with the cheaper one.

EA used to seriously lack in the baseball game dept...and i'm still bitter...

however, reading the previews on xbox.ign.com, i may pick up MVP...the ownership mode sounds cool, the ability to move players among the ranks...and since it's 30 and not 50, i don't mind shelling out the extra 10 over the ESPN 2k5

I remember hearing good things about MVP last year and I think it beat out ESPN when I saw a review for both on G4TV.

It's been a while since I've played a baseball game on a regular basis. I might have to pick one up though, gotta change it up once in a while from Madden. |

MVP did come out ahead last year. This was one of the last major sports that EA wasn't on Xbox Live, so now this year that playing field has been leveled. Last year though ESPN on Live was the wild, wild, wild west online. There was crappy record keeping, if any and it didn't have all the checks and balances that EA and ESPN have put into place with other sports this year to help thwart cheaters.

Since ESPN comes out a week earlier, I probably can't wait to get it and will get that, but I will give EA a shot too and perhaps sell the one I like the least. Very happy to see the prices will be low for both games. |

Never mind about the release date. Looks like both games are now coming out March 1st. Guess neither side wants to give an inch. Too bad we will not have this kind of competition with NFL games this summer.

I got MVP 2004 off Ebay for $12.

I only got to play it for a few minutes last night when I got home from school but I was wondering, can you change the amount of games you play in a season? Who's going to play 162?? |

I work at Target and when i saw these games in the back room the boxes said rush to the floor. So these games might already be out at Targets. It is at my Target anyway.
