people really believe that a rookie QB can play better than JC????? Sorry...this is a wild assumption. What young QB has played well with a SORRY line??? none. So when Bradford sucks...everyone will say...he needs better protection on top of the fact "he is a rookie". well...how about "skipping" the rookie excuse...and stick with the "better protection" is all we need for our team. A young QB would take 3 or 4 years to develop and JC is ready now "with better protection"

Short Answer is no. Long answer is, while the potential is there, I don't want Campbell back in 2010. Not to say I'm going to hem and haw if he is, but he's proven to be nothing more than average. The Skins do not have time to find out if he'll ever fully live up to his potential. There are simply too many holes on the O-Line to turn it around in 1 year, much less 2 or 3. And while the Skins need a stopgap between Campbell and the next big thing, and he's adequate, I'd rather see Shanny start anew.

I've come to the conclusion that my answer is no. I like Campbell and think he can be very good one day. But I want great, and I'm no longer convinced he can be.

I wanted him back up until this weekend when I saw McNabb against Denver. When the game was on the line Mcnabb basically took over. He ran for 25 yards on a 3-20 and threw a laser to Macklin to get them into fg position.....game, set match. This is what great players do. When things are down you need your QB to take over and as much as we all like JC, he could never do what McNabb did last Sunday. It's time to move on.

Yes because I believe in 3 years with the same exact circumstances he will be a better QB than anyone on the FA market and any college QB. In evaluating the answer, I looked at it as if we upgrade the OL, upgrade our RB and Thomas/Kelly/Mitchell continue to develop then would Campbell be better than Kellen Clemens, Kyle Orton (best FA available) or Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen. To me the answer is clearly yes.

As BAD as things have been this year, we cannot ignore 64% completions, nearly 3,500 yards, nearly 20 TD and an 85+ QB rating. If he can put up those numbers with 11 different starting OL, a 4th string RB who wasn't on a roster at the beginning of the season, our 2nd string TE and the play calling follies we've witnessed, I don't see how we can be any worse with those spots upgraded and him returning under a borderline Hall of Fame coach.

Yes he is didn't you see the other night Dallas moved up a man showing blitz and JC just ignores it making that play work for Dallas.

Truth is the skins are nowhere near superbowl contention moreless NFC East Champs next couple of years. Is time really a factor it's obvious he doesn't have protect now why place a high dollar investment in danger. When you have a guy that is first round draft that has shown his talent doesn't have a 30+ million dollar contract hasn't had the proper tools around him from day one. The WR corp sucked when he took over the team for Brunell, the line has been injured & subpar every year since he has taken over.

I agree, JC's numbers look decent but like I've said in the past the numbers dont tell the whole story. JC is not a playmaker and with the game on the line he shows again & again he cant take over and win a game.
