the one thing, among may, the skins lack is over all team speed. lets get younger and faster at the same time
Who exactly do you have playing o-line for us next year? I realize our line sucks, but you can't just get rid of all of our o-lineman. If we got rid of all of those guys the only o-lineman we have left are Dockery and Rinehart (assuming Samuels retires) so who exactly fills the other 7-8 spots? I know we're going to draft a few o-lineman and sign some FA's, but who says that they're going to work out?

The only guy on our team that should be sniffing starting on opening day next year in Dock...and he's only average.

Samuels is done
Rabach is awful...AWFUL
Thomas is done
RT...we haven't had a decent RT since when? Maybe '06. Jansen was a shell for years.

Williams and Jones might be decent backups but ultimately if either is in the mix to start next year we're in trouble again.

I agree with you, but the reality is we need 9-10 o-lineman on the opening day roster. Dockery and Rinehart fill two spots. I can't see us bringing in more than 4-5 lineman through the draft/fa and assuming they all make the team brings us to 6-7 spots. Who fills the other 2-3? We're going to need to keep at least 2-3 of our current o-lineman not named Dockery and Rinehart.

our line blows. not even close to being NFL quality. i would give Ed Williams every opportunity to start at center. Dockery and Rinehart would start at guards. and my tackles would be rookies, or free agents. i really don't think anyone would notice any drop off at all, because of the poor play from this season. maybe i would keep Jones around for depth.

Here is what we ought to know by now. These guys have not worked out. So you move on and try to get a better cadre of players in here to begin to build the right mixture.

If a "new crop" turns out to be a miserable failure, how will that be significantly different from what we saw all year long here?
