Schefter: "There's no way" the Rams won't pick Sam Bradford at No. 1

Well, no, it's because they already have a line in place to protect him. What the Rams don't have is anyone he can throw to.

He'd probably struggle mightily there in his first year, but there's not a whole lot the Rams can do to avoid a losing 2010 anyway. With Washington, he'd struggle mightily AND he would get his ass kicked.

He'd certainly become the face of the Rams though.

I wonder in what shape we had been if we had signed Jason Brown last offseason and drafted Michael Oher (if memory serves me right, there was some interest in Brown's part to come to Washington).

We wouldn't have Orakpo, but the offense would have been productive this year.

At least to the extent of the quality of the receivers.

Honestly, what does Schefter know? When you get right down to it, he knows just about as much as you or I do. My tea leaves say no one knows. After the first two picks everything goes out the window.

Do you really think team officials are feeding these analysts real information? If anything it's disinformation (ie the rams want to select Sam Bradford with the no. 1 pick) This makes sense. The Rams may be able to entice the Skins to trade up, give up Campbell and the no. 4 overall pick (and probably something else) and they'll still probably get the player they want (Suh) and not have to pay him No. 1 money.

I heard this being talked about today. The thinking is based on Snyder's reputation of going overboard to get a name player that he wants. I wouldn't blame the Rams for trying, but I think/hope we've gotten beyond that way of doing business.

They're definitely getting real information, it's just that the information is always changing at this time of year. Besides, Schefter has said this wasn't based on any inside info per se just a hunch of his. A hunch which he deducted based on his inside connections.

Maybe so but my bet is teams are whoring the media kind of like Scott Boras does to get the best deal for his players. he stirs up enough half-truths through these vultures that a team panics and drops big coin for his player.

I hope the Skins don't jump off the cliff.
