re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?
You can get a UDRFA to help out in the return game but, the team will draft a RB, possibly a guy who can increase his value there. Have we seen what Mitchell can do? He'll compete for a spot.

re: Wide Receiver & returner? Draft? FA?
I think that Shanny is one of the best at finding running backs that most teams ignore. El was a classy guy but his time with us was up. He'll find another job and if not he's still caking it.
I don't think the biggest problem Shanny is going to have is a return guy, RB, or WR. We have cut most of the running backs and a WR. That's no loss. They weren't doing jack. The O-line and RB situation is going to be the most interesting to me. That and who they get for FS and NT. Those are the gapping holes now.

1) Doughty, Landry, Horton are basically the same player, SS. Out of the three, I'd keep Doughty and Horton because their both better than, "got the brakes beat out of my his ass on MNF" Landry. Doughty and Horton are cheaper and both play ST. Trade Landry's ass for a ham sandich. This draft is deep with FS and OT. Horton and Doughty can't cover worth a damn, but then again, neither can Landry. 2) Kareem Moore is a meat-ball in helmet. Shanny & Allen don't like paying for meat-balls. I doubt his flunky ass makes it past camp. 3) Between bricks for hands and Zone coverage Hall the FS spot is hard enough. We should use a good pick on a FS and a NT. 4) The rest of the draft should go on the line and with a new RB. The secondary are not a bunch of crown jewels. It's deeper than the O-line though. Without a good FS, passing teams will eat the Skins's lunch for em. A FS is a lot more important than a return guy. Shanny is good at getting them. I've never been a Shanny guy, but he knows his runners. Believe that! That's all I'm saying.

They can refrain from using man-coverage too much then and keep him 30 yds from the line of scrimmage. Less athletic free safeties have gotten by in this league, such as Ryan Clark.
