I didn't know LJ's father played for the Redskins back in 1974. I remember after he signed with Cincy last year (after being cut by KC) he was interviewed by Dan Patrick on his show and I was very impressed with him, he was very articulate and seemed very bright. Hard to believe after all the shit he pulled in KC. Maybe he has matured and will surprise us fans.
I don't recall him playing on the 1974 team. I remember everyone on that team and he was not one of them. I can actually find no mention of him in any data-bases' associated with the NFL. Wiki/has him playing one year with the Redskins but dosen't mention what year.....maybe someone can share some information I haven't been able to locate.

LJ knows this is his last chance, and he needs us more than we need him. I agree w/ SS that his off the field problems are blown a tad bit out of proportion. LJ can be an asset to our team if he can keep his nose clean around the women here (a reason he might have signed so quickly) and stay motivated. If he can do those two things there's no reason why he can't have 10 tds this year especially if we draft Okung.

Good call, I did forget about Davis. That was almost 10 years ago.
Man we have sucked at drafting players during the Snyder era.
I was kind of shocked when I looked, in the last 10 years we have drafted a grand total of two RB's. Laddell Betts 2002 draft round 2 pick 56 and Eddie Williams 2009 round 74 pick 221. They were both recently cut, right? Man.
But we have drafted a ton of WR's. So we got that going for us. Yeah!

Maybe I blocked out Davis because he got beat up by a WR? DOH! J.K.
Rule of thumb: Don't mess with those "tall and big" WRs. T.O may have beaten up Hugh Douglas.

Thankfully, I don't see Devin punching C.P's guts out.

I can't find anything on Larry Sr. playing for us. The closest thing I can find is Dennis Johnson playing during that time period at DT from Delaware. It's funny that LJ mentions going to the stadium and seeing Gary Clark etc. but makes no mention of his father playing for the Redskins. I think someone is mistaken about his dad playing for us.

Wouldn't it be interesting if LJ was still here long after Portis and the Skins part ways.

I don't know about long after but I expect Portis to be gone after 2010 while LJ will most likely be here in 2011.

I could see that. CJ (Spiller) & LJ in 2011.

Ok. So you listed 6 of the best runningbacks who have ever played. At least 2, if not 3 or 4 are hall of famers.

Hall of Famers typically do things that are unusual.

That would be like me saying, "Hey, there are plenty of 30 year old wide receivers who dominated the league" and listing Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens & Andre Reed.
