I don't like this trade for the Broncos, I love it. I previously had projected Clausen to be headed there at No. 11, but this trade costs them only a pair of late rounders (unless Quinn is wildly successful, in which case, who cares), and then gives them the ability, but not the necessity, to bypass taking Clausen at No. 11 if he is there in search of better value. I wouldn't be shocked if they took him anyway in that situation, but that's the beauty of this deal: they can defer to the big board instead of picking for need.

From the Cleveland end, well, now you're even more dependent on making sure the quarterback you get in the draft is really to play by Delhomme's 10th INT (week 3). If they don't take Clausen at No. 7 because they don't like him after tape evaluation, will Zac Robinson or Dan Lefevour be ready to play by October (McCoy could fall to them in the second as well)? That might end up being their best bet.
