Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
Or maybe when you're supposed keep up your past production, you don't post that many multiple sub-40 yd games and post only 2 100+ yd games, one which was a freebie from a coach who thought his lame gameplan would work, with your starting QB(Romo) available for 14 games?

People saying we are so far away, but this is not the 2009 Skins. This is a new squad. We now have an OFFICIAL coach. Totally new coaching staff. We now have an OFFICIAL QB. That is HUGE..... Most of the time, we were losing because of the coaching and QB. Not to mention that garbage ass oline. And we are about to start getting this oline tighted up soon. Not saying that the oline is going to be #1 in the league, but I have a feeling our oline is going to be significantly better this year after we are all said done acquiring talent. We have two new backs, and people can talk about how old they are or whatever, but I think it is safe to say that LJ, WP and CP (if he is here) will be light years better then what we had for the last few seasons (if not further back). Im not trying to serve kool aid, but you also have to remember that we didnt exactly get blown out every game that we lost last year neither. Our biggest problem last year was our oline and offense in general. And we are significantly addressing those areas right now. The funny thing is that our defense held it down for us for the most part last year. They werent perfect, but they always kept us in the game. Our offense was just so horrible, they couldnt single handedly win the games. And now we are trying to f--- that up by partially converting to the 3-4. We should leave it alone. Add some aggressiveness to the playcalling, get some LBs so Orakpo can can move to the DE position for good. Throw him in at LB from time to time so confuse the offense a little bit. Thats it, we dont need to give the defense a complete face lift. |

Great post, totally agree, throw him one of those contracts sort of like we gave LJ. Make it insentive (sp?) based for 3 years. If he wants a lot, then he can kick rocks. After coming from Buffalo, McNabb probably looks like Joe Montana and DC must look like Miami to TO. |

Oh no they didn't! The saints have been lighting up the scoreboard for years now. There were a Defensive Coordiator away for a SB. The head coach used HIS OWN MONEY to snag some guy name Gregg Williams. Some dumb team let him go, so the Saints now have as aggressive of a Defense as their offense and with the... CRAP! We let him go first, didn't we... Awe man... Let me stop beofre someone throws out the "He's Re-hashing" flag on me again... |

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
When your TE's and FB's almost TRIPLE the number of receiving TD's that the WR's have for the entire season, I would think its fair to say, even IF Terrell Owens is Dropping off (like SirClintonPortis says......) he would instantly give us credibility at the position, and force people to come out of stacking the box to guard him. Shit, Our backup tight end had more touchdowns than all of our receivers, COMBINED!!!!!! We need help in that area, no matter who thinks Devin Thomas will all of a sudden part the clouds, ride into Fed Ex field on a white horse and choirs singing.
Right now, as free agency goes, regrettably, TO is the best option for us. It HAS to be looked at, and Im sure it currently is and has been for a while. |

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
If that is indeed true, it might be Snyder, but something tells me a T.O. signing is right up his alley. Maybe him being the ex cowboy is just too much for a redskins owner to handle......

Re: Did Mcnabb open the door for TO?
T.O. is worth signing if we think that adding him alone will take us very far. But if he's only here a year or two why just make it to the playoffs only to have him gone again? Marshall would be better for long term, but you have to give something up for him.
I can't make my mind up on either, at this point I'm saying just stick with what we've got, keep our eyes open as the offseason goes on. |

He will be a skin whether people like it or not, that's my gut feeling.
