plus not to mention he has taken over from deion and archuleta the job of poster child for snydernomics - massive over paying for aging, underpreforming, big names. This is everything the redskins are trying to get away from (supposedly) with ms and allen. If you can get value for him, give him the door .

Um, ok, if they can get appropriate value yes, but again a 7th is not appropriate or reasonable value for a starting defensive lineman in the NFL.

agreed, but if you cant get value for him, you start him at DE. lets not forget he is still one of the best DTs in the game right now.

SS mentioned that's what the FO was working on, but a 7th certainly isn't value. I'm not letting AH go for less than a 2nd & 3rd this year or a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year. The guy is an impact player and one of the top DTs in football, for 66% of the defensive snaps each season.

This, except I would be up for trading AH following this advice:

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

If they decide to trade AH I would seek a trade with the Rams for the 33rd pick (1st 2nd round pick) and either their 3rd or 4th rounder.

Jason Reid blogging for Redskins Insider & the WashPost finally after about 20 blogs to the contrary over a six week span, admitted this morning that Albert Haynesworth is no longer on the trading block. It was clear that if the decision to trade him was made, it would be for no less than a 1st round pick.

In essence, they had no real desire to trade him because they knew it would be highly unlikely any team was going to give up a first for him.

I kidd Jason that I'm still interested in that property he knows for sale in Arizona for anyone who though the Redskins had no intention of trading him.

Good. I wouldn't trade him just to trade him and give him away. The FO will have patch things up with him.

I think they will. It would be the right thing to do after all we've invested in him. I'm reasonably sure the decision on Haynesworth was ultimately made by the man who had just paid him 21 mil.$ on the 1st of April.

Re: Day 2, rds 2 & 3.

I read the Peter King article, as fun as he is to hate, it's a good article. His point about McDaniels/Tebow is 100% spot-on.

I really would love to see Clausen go to Minn at 34. Great situation for him. Excellent OL, Excellent RB, quality WRs, Excellent D. He'll likely have a year to sit behind Favre and is leverage for the Vikes if Favre plays his yearly "should I stay or should I go" routine.

Smoot said a team interested in AH was only offering a 7th round pick? I didn't see that anywhere and i find a hard time to believe thats true. i must have misunderstood your post. could you clarify?

doughtydoubter had said he would give up AH for a 7th round pick. That is what the response was about.
