Re: AH trade II La Canfora insists AH is indeed on the trading block.

# Once again, told that Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth is not being traded. #nfldraft 10 minutes ago via web She (La Canfora) said: Haynesworth deal expected to come down Friday Posted: April 23rd, 2010 | Jason La Canfora | Tags: 2010 NFL Draft, Albert Haynesworth, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins NEW YORK — Team and league sources remain convinced that the Redskins will trade DT Albert Haynesworth on Friday, most likely to the Titans for a third-round draft pick. Despite various denials from multiple teams, the sources said the Redskins are still shopping Haynesworth and have held recent conversations with the Lions, Titans and Vikings. The Lions’ interest was quelled for good Thursday night after they drafted DT Ndamukong Suh No. 2 overall, but people within the Redskins’ organization still view the Vikings, who have fears about DT Pat Williams’ age and future, and the Titans, with whom Haynesworth spent his career before 2009, as potential landing spots. The Redskins have hoped to receive more than a third-round pick for Haynesworth, but that has proven difficult, if not impossible. The Titans don’t have a second-round pick, though the Vikings have two. Haynesworth would be ecstatic about a return to Tennessee, according to league sources, and would be willing to alter his contract to facilitate a deal. He isn’t interested in playing nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme, and that problem will not resolve itself. The Redskins have accrued several veteran 3-4 linemen in recent weeks and are eager to accumulate a pick Friday, as they don’t pick again until the fourth round Saturday. Haynesworth is seen as their only real trading chip because shipping off Jason Campbell isn’t likely until after teams draft quarterbacks this weekend. Several executives from other teams don’t anticipate the Redskins receiving more than the 77th overall pick for Haynesworth and also expect him to be traded Friday.

AH is still a Redskin. I don't think anyone will give us a 2nd round pick for his fat ass. I'm starting to believe he’ll be mopping around our sidelines again in 2010.

I'm just saying don't go around thinking he's going to be traded for a 2nd round pick tonight. Because it might not happen.

Shanahan on Haynesworth deal: 'It's not going to happen' In an interview today with the NFL Network, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan didn't leave himself any wiggle room about the prospects of defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth being traded. "No, it's not going to happen....Albert Haynesworth will not be traded," Shanahan said. Not sure if there are many ways to interpret that. AlthoughShanahan has publicly said similar things since his minicamp last week, reports, rumors and speculation persists, and Tennessee, New Orleans, Minnesota and Detroit have all been linked in trade talks. The NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reported this afternoon that Haynesworth would be moved today, likely to Tennessee in exchange for a third-round draft pick in tonight's draft. But Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt used language just as strong as Shanahan's. "It's a dead issue. It is not happening," Reinfeldt told reporters in Nashville, Tenn., according to The Tennessean. "From our perspective there is nothing [to the report] at all. I have not talked to the Redskins in a long time.''

i'm sorry but we can't just give this guy away we need to make it work if we can't get a high to mid second for him then i say we keep him and see what happens next year. personally i would rather have him play a few games then get benched and ride the pine all year then to watch our franchise get bent over then knee and beaten yet again. and then watch him dominate on another team.

the skins prolly can't get what they consider "fair" value for him, so fat al will remain a redskin.

Re: AH trade II La Canfora insists AH is indeed on the trading block.
They need any pick they can get at this point. Our intradivisional opponents in Philly and especially Dallas are going to be definitely upgraded, while we are going to get stuck with signing scrub FAs yet again. Donovan isn't going to get us anywhere if the current roster isn't updated and upgraded. He had a better O line in Philly and a much better WR trio to work with as well, and still didn't get past Dallas.

Trading Al for a 3rd rd. pick...........would be stupid! I personally think La Canfora just keeps spewing this info becuz of bad sources. Schefter comes with info that is legit so I will definitely believe him over La Canfora.

Re: AH trade II La Canfora insists AH is indeed on the trading block.
I just finished watching Mike Shanahan along with Rich Eisen on NFL network and he stated emphatically, Albert Haynesworth will not be traded. He mentioned the rumors that have been circulating, but Albert will be a Redskin this season.
