What many people don't remember is that there was a contest to re-name the team. And the runner-up (though some say it actually won, but Abe didn't care for the name) was the Washington Seadogs..which would have been just a phenomenal name

I had forgotten about this until this mention of it.

Far better than Wizards. I'd buy Seadogs merchandise.
