This has to be the 8th game we've lost because of terrible umping. I really don't understand how that idiot couldn't see the bat go across home plate, it wasn't even close.

The MLB seriously needs to start fining umpires for blowing calls. I can understand bang-bang plays, but ones that are completely obvious are a plain joke. Something needs to be done.

The Nats have to draft him. You can't pass on that kind of talent. He's a once in a generation kind of guy. How often does any team have the opportunity to snag two prospects of this caliber just one year apart? It's amazing. The Nats have could really go places with Strasburg, Harper, and Zimmerman as the cornerstones for the next decade. On a side note, my Oriole fandom is waning....

Pitching-wise for sure. Bats, not so much. Terry Crowley should be fired for starters. How Trembley still has a job amazes me.

I think it'd be a waste to have him at catcher, that'll wear him down too quickly I hear you on the O's thing, they're still my fave but I find myself rooting for both teams about equally can't wait for us to get it turned around |

Not to mention one of the Nats' top prospects behind Strasburg is said to be a catcher, Derrick Norris. He's also pretty young and probably nowhere near as talented with the bat has Harper, but if he's a good defensive guy who can swing I'd rather have him behind the plate and Harper in the field.

yeah heyward by all accounts i have heard is a real down to earth, happy to be there type young player. same for weiters. heywards ability to cover and protect the outside part of the plate with discipline and not trying to pull everything is pretty remarkable.

adam jones did that last year, then he got a gold glove and an allstar spot. offseason the talk was of how he could become a 30+ hr hitter and possibly be our no 4 hitter. spring ball jones was cracking em out of the park. opening day, legit pitchers, hes trying to pull everything for a homer while swinging at anything low and outside. those "blowing a bubble as you make an overhead catch" catches arent cool when he botches the catch either. but we are gonna be ok. i guess. lil disappointed mark v and the bulldog. before the season started they said: 1) this is the year we, as fans, can start to measure success by wins and losses. 2) that, we as fans, have to be patient with the process of developing our young players. this process started 2 years ago. 3) that we have a lineup with potential to have 8 20 hr guys. 4) theres no one better in baseball in putting togethr a roster than andy mcphail. he is rumored to be the lead candidate to take over for bud selig NOW: 1) well, they have pretty much called it a lost season since the horrible start. it doesnt help that we are something like 3-16 over this recent span. i personally havent heard them say that we cant measure the Os by wins and losses. 2) now, mark v is on this kick that for the Os to reach success they MUST bring in proven players. he likes the combo of crawford in LF, gonzales at 1b and david wright at 3rd base. - ok so what the freak happened to being patient and letting the team develop then infuse the young talent we have? all of the sudden we are scraping that plan b/c jones is trying to homer run everything and striking out in the process that thye are discussing sending him back down, reimold was sent back down, markakis looks like a holocaust survivor and weiters was supposed to be much more than a .300 hitter with marginal power. i mean freak the frak man. matusz got an era over 5 still (even with last nights outing) but he is alot better than his era shows. tillman seems to be a fading in the potential and expectation dept. 3) now they are saying we have one legit professional bat, and thats markakis, maybe weiters. 4) that what do you expect when you have wigginton, atkins and tejada all playing out of position. WELL fuckos, who the fuck do you think decided to bring in atkins and move him from 3rd to 1st base? who the fuck decided to bring in tejada and play him at 3rd? i cant blame playing wiggy at 2nd on mcphail b/c the roberts injury mostly plays into that and lugo's bat doesnt cement him in the batting order. idk man, between the skins and orioles, my fucking sports teams suck donkey balls.

Why the hell does Riggleman have Guzman playing right field. I swear he keeps dicking around with this lineup for the worse.

Guzman started at SS. Only after Riggleman made a few substitutions that Guzman got shipped to right so Desmond could play SS. It's a shame Capps gave up 3 runs in the 9th, or they would have clawed out a win.

He should have just kept Bernadina out there, earlier he made a huge catch. I hate seeing Guzman out there.
