I'm profound deaf and I played football for two years - my team's total record is 18-1 (two years) and won two national championships (my school won four years in a row but I played only last two).. If you don't believe me, just google up "Maryland School for the Deaf football" and see for yourself..

When I played semi-pro with the DC Stonewalls, we would play Gallaudet University once every year. Many of their players were hearing impaired, our heads were always turning after the plays ended because they couldn't hear the whistle.

Reed is a tough guy, one I've always rooted for to do well.
