How did that year under the same system work for Zorn?
It's unlikely that they are going to do anything more than 8-8, and I would be shocked if they get there. In what universe does getting rid of your best 3 offensive weapons(QB, WR, TE), losing your starting LT (not McD's fault) and changing D coordinators (the one bright spot from last year) lead to a better team?

Zorn's system and approach to offense was bad from the bottom up. McDaniels at least oversaw the offense in New England, which was quite good.

Obviously if he is anything like Zorn they will suck balls but who is to say Shanny won't suck balls his first year as a coach or have an eh season like his last few mediocre seasons? I think we have just as much changes as they do. Whether these changes are positive or negative I don't know. They play in a very weak division too...Raiders and Chiefs twice is a plus as are games against the NFC West. We will know after the season but I wouldn't bet on us having a better record.

This is the strongest argument for them doing better. I think nearly every position change they had was a push or for the worse. I think ours have either been a push or for the better.

Mostly I think it is an interesting discussion, but as was said the article didn't live up to the idea.

I will still say we will have an equal or better record then Denver.

It is the best argument and one in which I based giving an edge to them...too many unknowns but if I had to bet i'd bet on them having a better record.
