Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

I noticed the other day that the Broncos right now plan on going into the season with D'Anthony Batiste as their starting LT...let that sink in for a minute

D'Anthony Batiste! A guy who represents all that had been wrong with our lack of focus on the OL in recent years...and now he's expected to start in place of Ryan Clady, arguably the best LT in the game...Broncos are screwed

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

They're a mess already, Tebow is their best shot at anything this year from the QB position. Orton has proven to be average at best, Quinn is just horrible. They're racking up injuries at RB and no longer have Shanahan's plug-and-play RB system. Dumervil is gone. Clady is gone. They lost Marshall with no comparable replacement.

KC and Oakland improved. They're going 4-12 if they're lucky.

Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins are their best names...but aging.

I am not a Bronco or Orton lover by any means, but Kyle Orton although he appears average as far as stats are concerned is a winner. The guy might not light up a stat sheet but he does win alot of football games. Tebow is by far the third best NFL QB on the Broncos roster.

You've got to be kidding. Good luck, Broncos.

I'm so glad we snapped up Jammal Brown, rather than letting him go to Denver.

Or the Giants, who just picked up a tackle...or Dallas who is probably desperate now.

That is going to be ugly for the Broncos. Do they really believe that a backup on one of the worst lines in the NFL last year is really going to be able to contribute to thier team in a positive way.

Agreed 100%.

Smoot any rumblings on the VJ situation out there in S.D. I know we have talked about it a length but was just wondering if there is any new news on the the kid. Seems as though he is not making any head way with rejoining the Chargers at this point in time.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

I've been calling it all along. This year's Zorn is McDaniels. Year #1 was almost identical for the two of them. Shocking hot start, embarrassingly ugly finish. Year #2 should be the same too.

There's probably no real urgency by either side to get a deal/agreement/compromise done. He's suspended for the first month of the season anyways.

You can definately make a good comparison between the 2, but Daniels at least called some plays in this league before he was a HC!!

Is Vinny Cerratto working for Broncos?
Broncos FO and McDaniels have made an ass out of themselves.
The most interesting part of it is when McDaniels first came in, he came off to me as a smug arrogant person. Karma?

Didn't think so. Was not really looking for an answer of a deal is in the works for the Skins, it was more as a football fan and interested in what happens with a top WR is all.
