Great job, Bruce and Mike.
Lol, tell me about it. Okung's injuries take 2 to 3 weeks to heal. Williams on the other hand, 'this bone contusion? Tis but a scratch.' Maybe one 1 or 2 days tops.

On top of that Okung seemed to suffer from a slight Crabtree complex during his negotiations. Thats a huge no-no for offensive line. Let's just keep that disease among the receivers.

I am not a SC Gamecocks fan either, I just know from watching him he has alot of talent and last year I think was more indicitive of things to come from him rather than one good year. He has speed, size, great hands, and good route running skills to be an elite NFL WR for years if he really works at it.
Danny Wuerffel tore apart the SEC too.

He just became Favre's favorite target last season...I'm not sure he could put up numbers like that away from Favre...or even beyond last year. Harvin is the real talent on their team...when he's healthy.

Bucs have brought back Jevan Snead for at least the remainder of the preseason, due to Josh Freeman's injury

Exactly.. One year does not make you a great player. Rice never did anything before Brett got there.

So long as AP is running well, Favre can probably make due with whoever at WR.

I don't know. I feel like once a receiver breaks that 1,000 yard bench mark they become capable of doing it regularly. If he had a Brandon Lloyd like 2005 season, where the team has no other option and he can only get 700 yards then I'd be more suspicious, but I think that Rice, assuming he recovers, will be able to have a few 1,000 yard seasons once Farve retires. Many more if he can get paired up with a top flight QB.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

Rice was a 2nd round pick and was regarded as a talented WR coming in. Yeah Favre helped put him on the map, but if any QB targeted him as much as Favre did last year, he's going to put up numbers.

Re: Notable Injuries Around the League

By the way, what does it say for Marko Mitchell that after Rice got hurt instead of Mitchell moving up the depth chart the Vikings went after Camarillo and Walker? I thought Mitchell was supposed to be the best thing to happen to Favre since Wrangler

That he's no Anthony Armstrong?

I don't know, Mitchell scored a long TD on a deep ball against Rams third teamers. Which puts him in the same accomplishment class as DT11 for this preseason.

Wes Welker, Hines Ward, Vincent Jackson, Roddy White, Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, Steve Smith (Car), Brandon Marshall, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Terrell Owens, Muhsin Muhammad, Issac Bruce, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, heck even Laverneous Coles and Antonio Bryant were able to repeat a few times after their first taste. I would count Javon Walker if he didn't get injured so much but he was good enough to do it with two different QB's.

By the way you forgot Michael Clayton

Maybe if he got barely over a 1,000 yards it would have been a fluke. A product of forcing the ball to a particular player. However when someone gets over 1,300 yards, it's usually because they've been able to come into their own as a player. 1,300 yards is a different class, doesn't even matter who the QB is.

It means that either Marko isn't who we thought he was, or the Minnesota coaching staff is making a mistake. Wouldn't be the first time someone missed a player. By the way, despite having no catches in week 2 he did have 1 catch in week 1 that ended up being a 71 yard touchdown so hopefully they at least see something.
