He has a point with Anthony Armstrong having to step up. He Can be a huge playmaker for us in the regular seasons to come.

Ross Tucker is one of my favorite NFL commentators. He is knowledgeable, balanced, and clear.

However, all of that does not make him a soothsayer, but I hope he is correct.

Eh. Jon Gruden thinks we'll win less than 8. Everyone's got a prediction. I think it's a stretch to go from 4-12 to 10-6. I don't think a lot of people realize how rare those kind of one season turnarounds are.

Great read from Thomas Boswell on just how rare those kind of big turnarounds are:

My issue with that is that not all 4-12 teams are the same. They can be just as good as a 2-14 team or a 6-10 team. Now if he wants to start breaking down strength of schedule in both years, strength of additions, etc then I'll start listening. Not saying that he won't end up being right, but to try to make a science out of it with just those two constants (coach change, 4-12 record) and a shitton of other variables is a bit irresponsible. Maybe not irresponsible, but it ignores a lot.

I hear you, but he's using such a large sample size with his comparisons, I think it probably averages out.
