It seems counter intuitive to reward teams for doing little to promote and sell the product. Whatever you think of the Dan he is probably the best owner is professional sports right now as far as generating income for his team. Besides the Yankees(who sell themselves) no other team comes close to generating the revenue of the Skins and they don't even win! Imagine if they had been any good. They'd be worth 1.5 billion dollars I bet. I just have a major philosophical problem with propping up owners too much. I think it is better to make sure the owners who put a lot of effort into selling their team, and by extension the NFL, get erwarded for efforts.
