No it is not stupid. How many of these kids do you really think could get into college without the football scholarship? I mean what planet are you from? 5 years ago the UNiv of Mich was tied with Fla St for the most felons on a team. THat is pretty pathetic to even have to have a list like that. Where do you think a lot of these kids come from? The streets!!! No football or basketball scholarship and these poor kids are probably stuck there, and that is bad news. So I will stand by my previous statement, because no matter how politically incorrect it is, it is pretty much reality. ALso, does Sean Taylor ring a bell? The poor guy beat the streets, but the streets came back to take his life.
