Re: RUMOR: Skins Want To Deal Devin Thomas

This is another case of a trade rumor that will not go down...in my opinion.

Why?
Value.

A year ago we could have gotten a 1st rounder for Haynesworth...now?...we'd be lucky to get a 2nd...likely a 3rd.

DThomas at the end of the year could have gotten us a 3rd or so....but now...due to the fact that he cant crack the starting lineup with the weak recievers we have...we'd be lucky to get a 5th.

Why is their trade value dropping? Because both have essentially been demoted. You trade your players when they are doing well, not after dogging them publicly or demoting them.

The trade value DThomas now has that is a bit suprising is his kickoff return numbers. If a team needs a #2, #3 reciever AND a kickoff returner, we may be able to get a 4th...
I hope the Skins dont consider anything less than that because his value on this team is at least that.

Of course, if we can get VJ for Haynesworth AND Thomas, that would be a good deal...perhaps the Skins are trying to do a trade that does not have us relinquishing any draft picks.
