Well it's obvious why players go for kill shots. It gets your team riled up, it increases your chances of forcing a fumble, but it also definitely increases the guys chances of getting a concussion, and that's why the NFL wants to stop it.

Face it guys, this isn't your father's NFL, and we're just gonna have to live with that.

You're right, back in the day almost everything was legal and the sport was probably even more brutal. Head slaps and clothesline tackles were commonplace.

Yeah, no doubt about it. I like seeing the big hit that riles up the team every once in a while, but if we saw more forced fumbles resulting from a guy wrapping the ballcarrier up and sticking his hand in there and jarring the ball loose I definitely won't miss the big hit.
