Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!

I think we win. But my reasons are less football oriented and more personality driven.

1) the Eagles just beat the f***in Colts. That is a pretty good high to come off of.

2) the Skins team looks in disarray(but my gut says they aren't).

I don't think that the Eagles are as much of a front running team as the Cowboys, but I think that they will tend to be over-confident.

I think Vick will play a little more fearless "just to show them they didn't scare him", and that will lead to bad decisions.

Shanahan either was an idiot or evil genius with his benching McNabb. Since I rarely saw him do idiotic things in Denver (mind numbing yes, idiotic no) I think he knows what he was doing, both for that game, and for the season. McNabb has generally responded well when benched, and I think we are going to see a high performance month in November from him.

Yeah Cinci lost, but being a home underdog against a division rival, when you beat them once at their place. I think Shanahan and company will come out and put quite a display on.

The Eagles are not a thundering herd, and will make mistakes. We will just need to capitalize on them.

Ultimately, there's not a lot of football analytics that are going to "prove" we will win, but hopefully my smoke and mirrors have convinced even a legal mind like Joe. This is a game of who wants it most, and I believe when the final whistle is blown, McNabb will be kneeling with the ball and the W.

I can't come up with too many football reasons we will win this game. That doesn't mean there aren't any good ones, but it's just that it relies on our players and coaches who have underachieved to this point need to come out and play particularly well out of a bye. It's not rare for that to happen with two weeks to prepare, but I'd say it's a bit unlikely.

I think the fact that the Eagles had an 8th day to prepare for this game negates some of the advantage we got in preparation thanks to our bye.

Actually Vick said in an interview that the skins game taught him a leason and that he will slide more to avoid the big hit. So I don't think that will be a factor.

I can't find the quote, but he also said, that he's going to play the way he plays, and that's just him.

"You know what? I play this game the way I play it," Vick said. "I'm not going to change. I think I did a good job of protecting myself at times, and times when I knew the hit wasn't going to be as devastating I was able to protect myself.

"But I'm not going to play this game scared or hesitant or conservative. I'm going to go out and give it 110 percent and everything I got. At the end of the day I want to tell myself I gave it everything I had and didn't hold anything back. It's just me playing my game."
