Well the difference to me is... St. Louis DEFINTLEY outplayed us... Detroit probaboly did, although we kind of blew that.

The Texans we pretty much dominated for three quarters, then decided not to show up for the 4th.

I was thinking the same thing. We are fortunate to be at 5-5... very fortunate. You could easily throw in the first Eagles game too. Hell, Vick plays the first game, Barber chips Rak, and Clay Matthews doesn't tweak his hammy, we're singing a different tune. The Texans game hurt but I don't think it will be a dagger.

It's the Lions game that gets to me. If McNabb doesn't throw that late, foolish interception while we still had the lead, then likely we are 6-4 right now.

I think it's now safe to say, you might as well throw the 1st Eagles game in there too. If we are not good enough to play in the playoffs, I don't want to mathematically sqeek in there.

Now if we get real hot for the rest of the season and fall short, then I will be disappointed, unless that happens I'm not sweating making the playoffs this season.

We simply would be no competition.

Agreed. I'll you what other game gets to me. And that's the Colts. When we recovered the fumble late in the game on the punt (I believe) and marched down inside the 10 (down 7) but had to settle for a field goal. That sucked.

I thought we played as good as we've played in a long time in that game, and a win over the Colts would have served notice to the league (and probably many of our own fans) that this team isn't just about luck

Reality check, we could easily be 0-10 never mind 6-4.

That game bothers me more than any other game this year. You get the ball back with 5 min left up 5 and you come out passing the ball with a shitty line that was getting manhandled? I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle Kyle S.

I couldn't believe we didn't run then either, my only thought at the time was it must have been because they didn't have confidence yet in Williams and Torain was hurt

How is what our record could be... a reality check?

Reality is we're 5-5. And that's a fact.

I'm new to this site and I've been on the other (extremeskins) Redskins site. Unlike over their, I hope the posters over here realize "AFC games are important."
I like the idea of your post but if it comes down to tiebreakers, AFC games are technically the least important, because division games and conference record are both considered before they are. So right now the Rams and Lions games are looming large, wins over both of these teams would seriously help our cause right about now.
