Re: Can the Redskins move back to RFK?

Because I'm that bored, here is our record at FedEx
97- 5-2-1
98- 4-4
99- 6-2
99- 1-0 (playoffs)
00 -4-4
01-4-4
02-5-3
03-3-5
04-3-5
05-6-2
06-2-6
07-5-3
08-4-4
09-3-5
10-2-4

So after today, we're 57-53-1.

So out of 14 seasons at Fedex, we've only had a winning record in 5 of those seasons. Definitely not good. In stark contrast, Matt Ryan is 18-1 at home as a starter for the Falcons.

That number is only substantial if compared to our record on the road during that time period. If you're bored again Gman, could you run those numbers?

Take the opposite of the home record.

Of Course:

97- 3-5
98- 2-6
99- 4-5 (0-1 Playoffs)
00- 4-4
01- 4-4
02- 2-6
03- 2-6
04- 3-5
05- 5-5 (1-1 playoffs)
06- 2-6
07- 4-4
08- 4-4
09- 1-7
10- 3-2

So that is: 43-69 on the road... wow... I really didn't think we were that bad on the road.....

There you have it though...Hopefully I'm not off on these.

So after today, we're 57-53-1.
And, for some comparison, our first 13.5 years at RFK. Remember only 14 game seasons back then.

61: 1-6
62: 2-5
63: 1-6
64: 4-3
65: 3-4
66: 4-3
67: 3-3-1
68: 3-4
69: 4-2-1
70: 4-3
71: 3-3-1
72: 6-1
73: 7-0
74: 5-1

50-44-3.

Also, our last five years at RFK

96: 5-3
95: 3-5
94: 0-8
93: 3-5
92: 6-2

So...I don't know that RFK's home field advantage is as legendary as we may have remembered it to be

Good post for perspective.

We had a great home field advantage there in the 80s when the team was a powerhouse. That's what it boils down to.
